FUTURE IMAGE

ONCE ROBOTS LEARN to move on their own,
the factories of the future will be able to CONTROL PRODUCTION VOLUME.

How will LinkWiz technology change the manufacturing industry? We drew an image of such a future factory. This is no fantasy. It is a future waiting to be realized.

Freedom from the conveyor belt

FUTURE IMAGE 01
Current factories are designed around conveyor belts. The belts are the centerpiece, and robots are arranged around them. We need conveyor belts today because robots can still only move as they are told to. Objects must always reach them in the same manner. The downside of this is that all parts of a conveyor belt must operate on the same time axis, making localized control of production volume

Flexible robot placement

FUTURE IMAGE 02
How will LinkWiz technology change how robots work? Firstly, factories will no longer have single conveyor belts with robots organized around them. Robots will be able to move flexibly, adjusting themselves to demands of each manufacturing situation.

Factories suited for the age of "many products in small quantities"

FUTURE IMAGE 03
Let us say there are five robots that do the same job. We line up all five of these robots along a single conveyor belt. If these robots are able to move freely, we can arrange them in a circle. This will reduce the spaced used by 66 percent. We will be able to freely choose both factory layout and production volume. This will allow us to build factories perfectly suited for the coming age of "many products in small quantities".

More human opportunity

FUTURE IMAGE 04
Humans will help to do the work that robots are not good at. When a human creates something, he or she is limited to only one action at a time. When robots enter the picture, that same human will be able to control manufacturing in multiple places at once. Humans will have more freedom than ever before to exercise their wisdom and raise productivity.

FUTURE IMAGE 05
The factories of the future need to be made differently. Change is hard, but the future is also full of interesting possibilities. LinkWiz wants to become the showroom that puts future possibilities on display.
